Mobile Scanner Brother DS-920DW Wireless Duplex Mobile Color Page Scanner
This thing is the best thing since sliced bread! I have been waiting
for years for someone to come out with a double sided scanner that will
scan directly to PDF or JPG without a computer or the internet. And
this does just that. I can scan any place, any time. The controls are
simple and intuitive and the scan is fast - just push the power button
and feed the paper. I have scanned in over a thousand pages so far to
go "paperless". I scan to an SD card and then periodically copy the
PDFs to my NAS box and use Adobe Acrobat to OCR them. Then I can type
one key word, date,etc., and the document pops up in seconds. I also
have its PC tethered predecessor, the DS-700 and the DS-920DW is light
years better. The only room for improvement would be for it to connect
directly to a NAS box via WiFi instead of the Brother Cloud service.
Hopefully that will come with the next model.
